Job summary

Breeze Airways seeks a Technical Buyer in Cottonwood Heights, UT to manage sourcing and purchasing of aircraft and engine parts, develop RFPs, evaluate suppliers, and negotiate contracts to reduce cost of ownership while maintaining service levels.

The role requires a 4-year business degree, 3 years purchasing experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to operate in a 24/7 aviation environment with clear communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in a business-related field, or equivalent experience in a purchasing role.
• 3 years’ experience in a Purchasing role or similar business accounting/finance environment.
• Purchasing and contract negotiation experience.
• General understanding of FAA regulations including FAR Part 121 operations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze technical operations spare parts requirements and source cost-effective solutions.
• Conduct sourcing events by developing statements of work, RFPs, and managing supplier proposals.
• Select or recommend suppliers and negotiate and administer contracts.
• Carry out activities purchasing aircraft and engine materials, parts, supplies, and services to support operational requirements.

They assist in sourcing activities for all aircraft and engine parts with the goal of achieving significant reductions in total cost of ownership. They also participate in the delivery of year-over-year productivity improvements while maintaining or improving service levels and reliability.
