Job summary

AmericanTCS, recently integrated as part of Ascensus, seeks a Sr. Technical Business Analyst to gather and document business and user requirements for a web-based financial platform and translate them into functional specs for the development team.

You will bridge the gap between clients, partners, and the internal team, coordinating across Scrum events and ensuring clear acceptance criteria, test plans, and product documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Technology or related field.
• 3 years of experience writing functional specifications for development teams.
• Experience in web-based applications and Azure DevOps preferred.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with SSMS.
• Agile/Scrum experience and excellent communication abilities.
• Experience bridging business needs and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Document business and user requirements with acceptance criteria and write functional specs.
• Coordinate and participate in Scrum meetings and sprint planning with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product, training, and management teams to improve offerings.
• Ask probing questions to uncover underlying business needs and outcomes.
• Lead demonstrations, UAT, and training around releases and write product docs.
• Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts; perform functional/regression testing.
• Manage a portfolio of complex projects across teams or systems.
• Diagram workflows and model current/proposed processes visually.
• Raise feature enhancements and bug cases in issue-tracking systems.
• Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and goals.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve system issues with teams.
• Clarify requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
