Vaco is hiring a Technical Business Analyst for a full-time, direct hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded technical and functional background. The ability to create data mappings, present to executive leadership, and more is critical for success.
This role offers a remote work arrangement; however, candidates must reside within the EST time zone in the United States.

What you will do:
- Support the configuration and integration of R&D tools (e.g., SAP, PLM, PALM, CAD systems, etc.) to streamline workflows and ensure data accuracy. This involves other industry-specific systems, specifications, formulations, sustainability reporting, and integration between systems.
- Define and document standards, guidelines, and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve issues. Provide technical guidance on implementation projects, including system integrations. Facilitate and coordinate integration testing with third-party support teams, R&D, and vendors.
- Manage business relationships by understanding strategic priorities, business capabilities, issues, and IT needs. Maintain and nurture customer relationships to manage demand, identify requirements, and deliver solutions.
- Ensure outstanding support from third-party service providers by overseeing daily application support, working within SLAs, and managing issues to completion. Be willing to be on-call and support outside normal hours, with occasional domestic and international travel.
- Lead the successful execution of major application projects, including communication with executives, budget management, and coordination of third-party resources.
- Lead cross-functional workshops to understand application benefits and pain points. Engage with architects, business members, and industry experts to establish best-in-class options. Partner with business and senior leadership to chart technology strategies over a three-year period, including strategic, tactical, and new technology options.
- Drive alignment among senior leaders and stakeholders, develop solutions to challenges, and ensure successful delivery of the technology portfolio aligned with strategic objectives.
What you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of prior CPG experience supporting R&D teams.
- Understanding of R&D software including PLM, Specification Systems, SAP, PowerBI, data management, and collaboration tools.
- Ability to configure systems, understand database structures, perform detailed testing, develop functional and technical specifications, and convert data.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
