Position Overview

Catalyst is seeking a talented, experienced Business Technology Analyst to help our clients analyze their business processes and identify suitable technology applications to meet their organizational needs. You will serve as a vital link between our clients and our technologists, collaborating to produce technology solutions that surpass client expectations.

Responsibilities include:

1. Analyze clients' business processes and objectives, and determine how technology can be applied to achieve them.
2. Develop detailed specifications for new systems or modifications to existing ones.
3. Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams during system implementation.
4. Create clear and precise user stories based on gathered requirements.
5. Test new systems to ensure they meet business requirements and user needs.
6. Train users on new systems and provide ongoing support.
7. Monitor systems post-implementation to ensure they meet business needs and recommend improvements.
8. Prepare reports on system performance and usage metrics.
9. Stay updated on new technology trends and explore their application to business needs.
10. Identify potential risks with proposed technology solutions and coordinate with project managers to develop mitigation plans.

Qualifications for Success:

1. Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of professional experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or related roles.
3. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
5. Strong facilitation and requirements gathering skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Experience with Agile methodologies.
8. Experience in the software development industry.
9. Experience working in the public sector is a plus.
10. Experience defining requirements for Salesforce implementations is a plus.
11. Experience with SAP is a plus.
