FLSA Status: Full time Non-Exempt

Summary:

• The candidate must assemble, package, and label materials according to company or customer drawings and specifications to ship to their desired location.
• Starting hourly rate for this position is $19.50 per hour.
• Work hours are from 7AM to 3PM, with a 30-minute paid lunch.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assemble components using hand and power tools.
• Inspect components and complete assemblies for conformity, following all handling procedures.
• Maintain safe work habits, adhering to PPE and OSHA requirements.
• Report to work at scheduled times and be prepared to start at the beginning of your shift.
• Maintain cleanliness in your work area and throughout the building.
• Package products to ensure they arrive in acceptable condition.
• Return all tools and equipment at the end of your shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience with shipping, receiving, and warehouse components is helpful but not required.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to assemble products per drawings and specifications.
• Ability to use torque wrenches, calipers, and other measuring tools.
• Automotive experience is helpful but not required.
• Computer skills are helpful but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to use Manufacturing Systems for scanning and research.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Mechanical aptitude for using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and overtime as needed.
• Ability to become forklift certified and operate overhead cranes.

Physical Demands:

• Regular talking and hearing.
• Standing, lifting, stooping, and walking for extended periods.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity for lifting and assembling.

Work Environment:

• Work on the production floor, exposed to extreme weather, fumes, airborne particles, and noise.
