Job summary

California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) seeks a Technical Architect/Lead to direct ENS application design, development, and integration across the FTB ecosystem. The role requires hands-on expertise in Java/J2EE, AEM Forms, and modern API patterns, plus strong leadership and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise Java/J2EE architecture
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Forms in JEE/OSGI
• Knowledge of SOAP/REST web services and XML/JSON patterns
• Strong design and architectural pattern knowledge
• DevOps/CI/CD experience, Docker familiarity
• Ability to mentor and lead technical teams

Responsibilities

• Direct design, development, implementation, and support of ENS applications and integrations across the FTB ecosystem
• Mentor developers, set architectural direction, and enforce engineering standards
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle from requirements through deployment
• Architect and implement SOAP/REST services and data exchange patterns
• Work with AEM Forms, including smoke testing workflows and integration with Java apps
• Collaborate across teams to deliver reliable, scalable noticing services
