Job summary

Caltrans is seeking a Salesforce Architect (ITS III) to lead the design and delivery of enterprise Salesforce solutions. You will architect CRM workflows, manage integrations with middleware, and guide IT strategy and governance for Caltrans’ data portfolio.

The role allows choosing a location (Sacramento HQ or Oakland District 4) with hybrid telework, permanent full-time employment, and a focus on complex, high-impact projects.

Qualifications

• One year of IT Specialist II experience or six years of IT experience with lead/expert work in one or more major IT domains.
• Education substitutions: master/doctorate may substitute for four years; bachelor’s for three years; only one degree used for substitution.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver complex Salesforce-based enterprise solutions for customer-facing processes.
• Lead and mentor teams; align IT strategy with governance and policy.
• Ensure integration with middleware like MuleSoft and external systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
