Job summary

BigRio seeks a Technical Architect to steer Salesforce, Apigee and Healthcare EHR initiatives. You will blend deep technical architecture with hands-on delivery across Azure and/or GCP, guiding the organization through a Waterfall-to-Agile transition and translating complex clinical requirements into scalable solutions.

The role requires enterprise architecture leadership, API strategy, and strong collaboration with Product, engineering and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise or technical architecture roles.
• Proven Enterprise Architect or Technical/Solution Architect experience.
• Strong Salesforce architecture experience across Service, Marketing, Health and/ or Commerce Clouds.
• Hands-on Apigee experience; MuleSoft experience preferred.
• Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform expertise.
• Experience with healthcare EHR systems and clinical data workflows.
• Excellent communication, leadership and mentoring abilities.

Technical Architect – Salesforce, Apigee & Healthcare EHR

Positions Available: 4

Location: 100% Remote (US-based)

Duration: 3+ Month Contract (with possibility of extension)

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Methodology: Currently Waterfall, with future transition to Agile

Industry Preference: Healthcare experience preferred but not required

Overview

An organization is building a pipeline of Technical Architects to support enterprise architecture, API management, and CRM platform initiatives. This role blends deep technical architecture expertise with hands‑on experience across Salesforce, Apigee, MuleSoft, healthcare EHR/data systems, and cloud-native design on Azure and/or GCP. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a current Waterfall environment while helping guide the organization's future transition to Agile, and can translate complex business and clinical requirements into scalable, secure, no-code/low-code and custom architecture solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate issues and make recommendations backed by data to support project and program decisions.
• Design the scope of enterprise architecture initiatives and develop High-Level Architecture Views (HLV/HLD) aligned with business objectives.
• Articulate technology solution options and recommend best practices using Azure and/or GCP cloud technologies and modern application development practices.
• Plan technology integration and workflows across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC).
• Design scalable, secure, and reusable enterprise solutions using established architecture and design patterns, including no-code/low-code approaches where appropriate.
• Lead enterprise API architecture and integration strategy, with Apigee as the primary API Management platform and MuleSoft as a supporting integration platform.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions on Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Architect and support Salesforce platform solutions (including Service, Marketing, Health, and/or Commerce Clouds), ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
• Support architecture and integration involving healthcare EHR systems, clinical data workflows, and diverse healthcare data sources.
• Collaborate with Product Management, business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership for developers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure software quality meets security, scalability, recovery, maintainability, and performance requirements.
• Apply FinOps practices to development activities where appropriate.
• Develop and maintain Enterprise Architecture integration standards, governance frameworks, and technology roadmaps.
• Conduct architecture reviews, gap analysis, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
• Create data models to visualize integrations and support enterprise architecture across multiple database platforms.
• Oversee development, version control standards, backend processes, and application architecture governance.
• Present and champion AI-forward solutions, and use AI development tools to support technical drafting, documentation, and design pattern development.
• Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
• Communicate project status and architectural recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise or technical architecture roles.
• Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or Technical/Solution Architect.
• Strong experience designing enterprise architecture solutions and defining architecture scope.
• Experience across SDLC and PDLC.
• Experience working in Waterfall environments with knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Strong Salesforce architecture experience, including platform design and implementation (Service, Marketing, Health, and/or Commerce Clouds).
• Extensive experience with enterprise API architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Apigee (required); MuleSoft experience strongly preferred.
• Strong experience with Azure and/or GCP.
• Experience with healthcare EHR systems, clinical data workflows, or integrating diverse healthcare data.
• Multi-database experience (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB, Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, or similar) a plus.
• Familiarity with no-code/low-code platforms and technical design pattern drafting.
• Hands‑on experience using AI development tools and presenting AI-forward solutions as part of architecture, design, or documentation workflows.
• Solid understanding of enterprise integration, architecture governance, and design patterns.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, including mentoring experience.
