Servomex in Sugar Land, TX seeks a Technical Applications Specialist to drive application development and support growth across the IP&E market in Texas and adjacent regions. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role blending technical expertise with commercial support, application development, and knowledge transfer across teams.

You'll collaborate with customers, sales, product specialists and engineering to deliver gas analysis solutions for industrial processes, emissions, and safety

• Degree (or equivalent) in Physics, Physical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong background in gas analysis and industrial process applications.
• Experience presenting to and training customers.

We are seeking a Technical Applications Specialist to drive technical application development and support business growth, for our Industrial, Process & Emissions (IP&E) market segment across Texas and the surrounding region.

This is a highly visible, customer-facing role that combines technical expertise, commercial support, application development, and team capability building.

You will work closely with customers, sales teams, business leaders and product specialists to develop innovative solutions that address real-world industrial, process and emissions challenges.

What You'll Do

• Drive application development and identify opportunities for revenue growth across the IP&E business.
• Develop and enhance the regional capabilities of the Technical Applications team.
• Own regional application and technical enquiries, ensuring a high level of customer support.
• Key interfaces with: Product Applications Specialists, Sales, Product Management, R&D, Engineering, Channel Partners, Distributors, Marketing, Customers, End Users, Service & Systems teams.
• Participate in customer visits, major project pursuits, technical reviews and commercial opportunities as the technical expert.
• Act as the voice of the customer, identifying market needs and communicating opportunities for product and application development.
• Lead regional customer testing, validation activities, field trials and Voice of Customer (VOC) initiatives.
• Manage Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), special analyzer configurations and demonstration equipment.
• Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer to customers, partners and internal teams.
• Support exhibitions, trade shows, conferences and industry events.
• Drive continuous improvement of application processes, procedures and service delivery.
• Support Service and Systems teams on complex application challenges when required.
• Take ownership of regional service level agreements (SLAs), targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

What We're Looking For

You will bring a strong background in gas analysis, combined with a passion for solving customer challenges and developing technical solutions.

• Demonstrated Applications expertise in Tunable Diode Laser (TDL) and Infrared (IR) spectroscopy technologies in industrial applications.
• Strong understanding of analytical measurement principles, process applications, customer requirements, and the selection, configuration, and deployment of gas analysis solutions across industrial markets.
• Excellent customer-facing and relationship management skills.
• Experience supporting sales opportunities through technical consultation and solution development.
• Ability to deliver technical presentations and training to a range of audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• All-round proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP and Salesforce.
• Experience working within the hydrocarbon processing, petrochemical, refining or chemical industries.
• Testing skills; designing, implementing and reporting on verification/validation testing

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Physics, Physical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
