Job summary

Nestlé Health Science is seeking a Specialist for the Technical Applications Group (TAG) to support product innovation through a structured technical framework. The role collaborates across Quality, R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to improve existing products and address manufacturing issues, while evaluating new technologies and ingredients.

The Specialist participates in formulation and process improvements, supports development of nutritional supplements across formats, and ensures

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Food Science or related field
1+ year of hands-on product development, formulation, and manufacturing experience with tablets, capsules, liquids, soft gels, gummies, powders, packaging, or related technologies
Knowledge of product development, technical and manufacturing processes, and food science principles
Experience leading medium-complexity technical projects and working effectively within cross-functional teams
Preferred experience with product scale-up, validation, and technology transfer activities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Preferred experience with SAP, SPSS and/or Minitab for data management, reporting, statistical analysis, and process improvement initiatives
Ability to be exposed to food allergens and allergen-containing materials
Knowledge of food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Willingness to travel approximately 40%

Responsibilities

Support product and process renovation through formulation adjustments, reformulation efforts, and process improvements
Assist in the development of nutritional supplements across formats to support manufacturing, innovation, and product enhancements
Prepare, maintain, and ensure accuracy of manufacturing documentation while adhering to company policies, SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
Analyze and interpret data to support statistical evaluations, problem-solving, and continuous process improvements
Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve product, raw material, and supply-related issues
Communicate project updates, risks, and changes to management in a timely manner
Support scale-up, validation, and technology transfer activities to internal and external manufacturing partners
Engage with suppliers, external partners, and training opportunities to stay current on industry trends and best practices
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while building cross-functional relationships
Participate in mentoring and support professional development
Operate manufacturing and laboratory equipment to support project execution
Participate in Stage/Gate product development processes and support key milestones
