Job summary

Nestlé Health Science is seeking a Technical Applications Group (TAG) Specialist for an on‑site role in Leonia, NJ. You will support product innovation, lead formulation improvements, and address manufacturing issues, collaborating with Quality, R&D, Procurement, and Manufacturing to drive cost savings and quality.

The role emphasizes BOM creation, SAP/MES support, data analysis, and regulatory compliance while enabling technology transfer and supplier engagement. On-site presence is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Food Science or related field
• 1+ year of hands‑on product development, formulation, and manufacturing experience involving solid dose forms
• Knowledge of product development, technical and manufacturing processes, and food science principles
• Experience leading medium‑complexity technical projects and working effectively within cross‑functional teams
• Preferred experience with product scale‑up, validation, and technology transfer activities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Preferred experience with SAP, SPSS and/or Minitab for data management, reporting, statistical analysis, and process improvement initiatives
• Willingness to travel approximately 10%

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy and efficiency in manufacturing
• Maintain SAP recipes and MES updates
• Update finished product shelf life records and review for potential extensions
• Prepare and follow up on industrial trials and order confirmations
• Maintain quality assessments and process diagrams
• Support product and process renovations through formulation adjustments and improvements
• Prepare, maintain, and ensure accuracy of manufacturing documentation
• Analyze data to support statistical evaluations and continuous improvements
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve product, raw material, and supply‑related issues
• Support scale‑up, validation, and technology transfer activities with partners
• Engage with suppliers and stay current on industry best practices
