Job summary

[Client] is seeking an Assistant Technical Applications Manager who blends engineering, automation, and strong field support. You will design, test, and troubleshoot control systems, and guide customers through installation, commissioning, and ongoing service.

You will work closely with engineering and field teams across projects, lead technical discussions, and mentor junior engineers while driving product improvements and reliability in demanding industrial environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in applications engineering, controls, automation or related technical environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with industrial installations, startup, commissioning, and field support.
• Experience programming/troubleshooting Allen-Bradley and/or IDEC PLCs and HMIs is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Modbus RTU/TCP and industrial communications.
• Working knowledge of 4–20mA, 0–5V, 0–10V, relay logic, and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical resource for gas detection, automation, monitoring, and control system applications.
• Lead system design: control architecture, automation strategies, communications, instrumentation, and integration.
• Configure, program, troubleshoot, and support PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
• Manage technical projects from concept through testing, startup, and commissioning.
• Provide on-site commissioning, startup support, troubleshooting, and customer training.
• Develop technical proposals, system documentation, and operating manuals.
