The Opportunity
- This is a remote position.
- Qualified candidates must currently live in the Minneapolis, MN, Omaha, NE, or Ohio area.
- Candidates should preferably live near a major airport.
- Must be able to travel up to 90-100%.
What You’ll Work On
Provide support to Abbott’s Diagnostic Division (ADD) customers and field personnel as the primary contact for high-complexity instruments, onsite instrument and assay integration, and training. Serve as a resource for troubleshooting and resolving instrument or reagent issues onsite or over the phone, and document information into the complaint handling system.
- Lead multi-site/multi-instrument integrations for ADD instruments and reagents, including new product launches.
- Conduct customer entrance interviews to understand needs and manage expectations; plan the integration process.
- Work with project managers as a technical lead to execute project plans.
- Assist customers with regulatory and validation requirements, and provide training on new instruments.
- Manage the integration process, conduct exit interviews, and secure customer buy-in.
- Handle troubleshooting related to reagent or instrument performance to improve customer self-sufficiency.
- Provide technical support via phone and on-site for hardware, software, and reagent issues, documenting all actions.
- Maintain compliance with quality systems and document complaints and resolutions accurately.
- Recognize product issues and communicate potential improvements.
- Deliver tailored onsite or classroom training.
- Consult on integration, technical, and workflow issues during sales and service cycles.
- Manage time, territories, and accounts effectively to meet objectives.
- Follow standard work processes for all activities, including complaint documentation.
- Identify and communicate process gaps and improvements.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for complex processes, influencing stakeholders and supporting sales and service teams.
- Interact frequently with customers onsite and via phone, and participate in leadership roles on teams and projects.
- Exercise discretion in work, working remotely and collaboratively as needed.
- Develop processes and raise policy conflicts when necessary.
- Make decisions impacting reagent utilization and troubleshooting that affect budgets.
- Maintain integrity, honesty, and accuracy in all communications and actions.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and adhere to safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, electronics, or Medical Technology.
- At least 2 years of experience in a laboratory environment, field service, technical call center, or with Abbott Diagnostics products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology.
- Four or more years of relevant experience.

The base pay for this position is: $60,000.00 – $120,000.00. In specific locations, pay may vary.
