Job Description

Overview

This is a remote position. Qualified candidates must currently reside in the Minneapolis, MN, Omaha, NE, or Ohio area, preferably near a major airport, and be able to travel up to 90-100%.

Responsibilities

  1. Support Abbott’s Diagnostic Division customers and field personnel for high-complexity instruments, including onsite integration and training.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve instrument and reagent issues onsite or via phone, documenting all activities.
  3. Lead multi-site/multi-instrument integrations, including new product launches.
  4. Conduct customer entrance and exit interviews to understand needs and secure buy-in.
  5. Work with project managers to execute technical plans and assist customers with regulatory and validation requirements.
  6. Provide training on newly installed instruments and ensure customer satisfaction.
  7. Manage integration timelines and customer expectations effectively.
  8. Perform troubleshooting to enhance customer self-sufficiency and resolve hardware/software issues.
  9. Deliver onsite or classroom training tailored to customer needs.
  10. Act as a Subject Matter Expert, influencing sales and service teams and participating in cross-functional projects.
  11. Document customer complaints and actions to support CAPA systems and communicate product issues timely.
  12. Maintain technical competence and contribute to process improvements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, electronics, or Medical Technology.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a laboratory environment, field service, or technical support, preferably with Abbott Diagnostics products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology.
  • Four or more years’ experience in relevant fields.
