Job summary

BILL is seeking a Technical Accounting Senior Manager in the United States to be the subject-matter expert on complex accounting matters. You will research and document accounting positions under US GAAP, partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and the business, and ensure our financial statements and disclosures are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.

This role reports into the Technical Accounting & External Reporting leadership team and works closely with the Corporate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; active CPA required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements; ability to research technical issues and write clear memos.
• Experience with stock-based compensation (ASC 718), leases (ASC 842), revenue (ASC 606), debt, and business combinations.

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate accounting impact of new or non-recurring transactions and document conclusions.
• Monitor and implement new accounting pronouncements and SEC guidance; lead policy updates.
• Prepare technical accounting analyses and memos across key areas (revenue, stock-based comp, leases, EPS).
• Review Chart of Accounts mappings for accuracy and alignment with internal standards.
• Support Form 10-Q/10-K workpapers, including EPS and non-routine transactions.
• Own and operate SOX controls; coordinate with external auditors on walkthroughs.
• Forecast stock-based compensation with compensation team.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal on new transactions and initiatives.
