Job summary

Rippling in San Francisco, CA, seeks a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting & Reporting to lead complex accounting research, US GAAP analysis, and policy setting as we scale toward public-company readiness.

This hybrid role partners with Legal, FP&A, Tax, Equity, Treasury, and external auditors to build scalable close, disclosures, and internal controls, while developing, mentoring, and leading a high-performing accounting team through growth and evolving standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting and CPA required.
• 10+ years in progressive accounting/auditing roles with public-company readiness.
• Strong US GAAP expertise with ability to defend conclusions in memos.
• Experience with SEC filings (S-1/10-K/10-Q) and external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting research and documentation for complex areas; support new corporate projects.
• Own preparation and review of technical memos, policy positions, and conclusions under US GAAP; coordinate with International Accounting.
• Lead external reporting readiness, including disclosure development, reporting controls, and schedules.
• Drive adoption of public-company standards, audit‑ready materials, and scalable close processes.
• Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
