Job summary

Versant Media in Englewood Cliffs, NJ is seeking a Manager, Technical Accounting & Policy to lead complex accounting analyses and develop policies. You will partner with controllership, FP&A, and legal to ensure U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance and support new standards implementation.

Responsibilities include preparing technical memos, providing guidance on revenue recognition, leases, equity and long-lived assets, and aiding audit readiness. Hybrid work arrangement eligible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA required.
• 4+ years in financial accounting, audit, or policy roles.
• Experience in publicly traded company or Big 4 preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SEC reporting, U.S. GAAP, and SOX.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting analysis and memos for complex transactions.
• Provide technical guidance to Controllership, FP&A, and business units on accounting issues.
• Assist with revenue recognition, leases, equity, and asset accounting.
• Monitor emerging accounting pronouncements and readiness for implementation.
• Assist with SOX control documentation and audit readiness.
• Develop training materials on SOX expectations and documentation standards.
