Job summary

Atlantic Group is seeking a senior technical accounting professional to join a newly created group focused on asset and alternative asset management. You will analyze complex investment transactions, advise on accounting matters, and work with deal teams to address structures early in the process.

The role involves preparing accounting position papers, coordinating with external auditors, and supporting financial reporting for the private credit platform, annual audits, and disclosures.

Qualifications

• 8-20 years of technical accounting experience in asset or alternative asset managers.
• Experience advising on accounting matters related to transactions and new products.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting implications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex investment and financing transactions to determine accounting treatment and reporting impact.
• Advise on technical accounting matters related to private credit investments, new products, and transaction activity.
• Collaborate with deal teams to evaluate proposed structures and address accounting considerations early in the process.
• Develop accounting position papers and coordinate with external auditors and advisors to support conclusions.
• Coordinate with Business Development, Legal, Tax, Structuring, Operations, Investor Relations, and Finance on cross-functional matters.
• Prepare and review management reporting for the private credit platform and U.S. GAAP financial statements and disclosures.
• Contribute to Accounting Policy and Financial Reporting initiatives, including close activities and audits.
