Job summary

Atlantic Group is seeking a senior technical accountant with 8-20 years of experience focused on asset and alternative asset management transactions. The role involves analyzing complex investments, advising on technical accounting matters, and partnering across deal teams to ensure proper financial reporting under US GAAP.

You will prepare position papers and coordinate with auditors, contributing to policy and reporting initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8-20 years of technical accounting experience required.
• Experience with asset or alternative asset managers preferred.
• Strong experience analyzing complex transactions and related accounting implications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex investment and financing transactions, including underlying legal agreements, to determine accounting treatment and reporting impact
• Advise on technical accounting matters related to private credit investments, new products, strategic initiatives, and transaction activity
• Work closely with deal teams throughout the transaction lifecycle to evaluate proposed structures and address accounting considerations early in the process
• Develop concise, well-documented accounting position papers and coordinate with external auditors and advisors to support final conclusions
• Collaborate with Business Development, Legal, Tax, Structuring, Operations, Investor Relations, and Finance on cross-functional transaction and reporting matters
• Prepare and review management reporting for the private credit platform, as well as related U.S. GAAP financial statements and disclosure requirements
• Contribute to additional Accounting Policy and Financial Reporting initiatives, including periodic close activities, annual audits, and special projects
