Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a Manager of Technical Accounting to lead complex accounting research under US GAAP and SEC regulations, and to prepare disclosures for quarterly and annual filings. This role partners with Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Finance teams to ensure accurate reporting, impairment analyses, and fair value updates in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA, 6+ years of experience, and strong analytical skills, with experience in SEC

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification required.
• 6+ years of accounting experience in corporate or public accounting.
• Experience with SEC reporting and disclosures.
• Hyperion or similar ERP/reporting system knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex accounting research under US GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Partner with Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Finance teams to analyze and report complex matters.
• Review quarterly and annual impairment and CECL analyses.
• Oversee and review quarterly fair value updates.
• Prepare and/or review disclosures in Hyatt’s 10-Q and 10-K filings.
• Prepare materials for Hyatt’s Audit Committee meetings.
• Coach, supervise, and mentor senior accountants.
