Job summary

Generate Capital seeks a Manager, Technical Accounting to deliver high‑quality technical analyses, draft accounting policies, and assist with accounting for new transactions. Reporting to the Director, Accounting Diligence and Integration, this role collaborates with senior leadership across Investments, Legal, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Asset Management.

The position is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional with U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA (or international equivalent) required
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and corporate or transaction-related experience
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with depth in revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations, consolidation, capitalization and PP&E, debt and equity investments, other financial assets, and debt accounting
• Experience supporting acquisition due diligence, purchase accounting, or financial integration is preferred

Responsibilities

• Technical Accounting: Perform contract reviews and provide accounting expertise, document conclusions, update policies, review portfolio entities for consistency with Generate’s policies, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and support external auditors.
• Transaction Support: Diligence and execution support, evaluate transaction structures for accounting implications, coordinate with leadership and cross-functional partners, and assist with acquisitions, divestitures, and reinvestment of proceeds.
