Job summary

CFS in Chicago seeks a Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager to lead complex accounting matters, research pronouncements, and coordinate with external auditors. You will collaborate with FP&A, GL teams, and a global network to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role requires 5+ years in public accounting or industry, CPA or CMA, and Big4 experience, with hands-on experience in NetSuite and Excel. Competitive salary and strong growth potential offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; MBA or Masters welcomed.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience between public accounting and industry.
• Big4 audit/assurance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Research technical pronouncements and write memos and white papers.
• Collaborate with BIG4 CPA Firm on complex matters.
• Support global business units on complex accounting matters across functions.
• Coordinate with FP&A and GL teams on complex accounting pronouncements.
• Prepare monthly cash flow statements and ad-hoc leadership reports.
• Experience with business combinations and acquisitions.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audit requests.
• Review complex reconciliations.
• Utilize NetSuite and MS Excel for reporting and analyses.

Responsibilities For The Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager

• Researching Technical Pronouncements & Writing Memos and White Papers
• Collaborate with BIG4 CPA Firm on super complex matters
• Work cross functionally to support all business units globally on complex accounting matters
• Work with the FP & A and General Ledger Teams on any complex accounting pronouncements
• Financial Reporting – Prepare monthly cash flow statements along with Ad-Hoc reporting for leadership
• Business Combination experience with any acquisitions
• Work with external auditors for Annual Audit requests and reporting
• Research and Review Complex Reconciliations
• Software – NetSuite & MS Excel
