Job summary

IES is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to join our Accounting team. This role leads technical accounting on acquisitions, including ASC 805 purchase accounting, onboarding of newly acquired companies, and monitoring evolving accounting and SEC guidance.

The ideal candidate is a CPA with 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, and excellent Excel skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• CPA with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and ability to research technical accounting positions.
• Experience applying ASC 805 and on acquisitions, including purchase price allocations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to coordinate with auditors.

Responsibilities

• Lead ASC 805 opening balance sheets and purchase price allocations for acquisitions.
• Oversee onboarding of newly acquired operating companies; maintain playbook and templates.
• Research and document complex technical accounting issues and prepare memorandums.
