Job summary

fal is building the infrastructure for AI at scale from our San Francisco base. We are hiring an Infrastructure Accounting Lead to own the accounting for compute costs, including GPU capacity, cloud and data center commitments, and the engineering work that underpins it.

You will partner with Finance, Operations, and Engineering to build robust infrastructure and R&D accounting processes, ensuring accurate billing and auditable records while leveraging AI tools to scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required or CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in tech/cloud/infrastructure.
• Builder mindset with automation and scalable processes.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in a dynamic environment.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication for technical topics.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting for compute costs: GPU, cloud, and data center commitments.
• Develop AI-enabled workflows to automate reconciliations, close, and journal entries.
• Translate contracts, usage data, and invoices into correct accounting positions.
• Ensure audit-ready documentation, policies, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Legal, and Engineering on capacity changes and forecasts.
