Job summary

TerraPower in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting to lead GAAP and SEC reporting for a multi-business organization. You will craft technical memos, guide consolidation, and work cross-functionally with Operations, FP&A, Tax, and Legal to ensure accurate financial disclosure and control compliance.

Key qualifications include a CPA and 10+ years in public company or Big 4 environments, with strong ASC knowledge and Oracle Cloud experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA certification is required.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4/public company exposure.
• Experience with GAAP/SEC reporting and complex consolidations.
• Experience with ERP systems; Oracle Cloud preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration across functions.
• Ability to produce technical accounting memos and research guidance.
• Knowledge of ASC topics (730/360/606/842) and internal controls.
• SOX readiness experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support on technical accounting matters and memos.
• Guide accounting treatment for proposed transactions under GAAP.
• Serve as technical accounting resource across the organization.
• Support Controllers on technical matters and training.
• Support financial reporting processes and policy implementation.
• Collaborate with Operations, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal for accurate reporting.
• Communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
• Assist in quarterly/annual reporting and SEC disclosures.
• Perform accounting research and stay current on US GAAP.
• Document significant accounting matters for reporting.
• Prepare reporting packages for leadership.
• Identify process improvements and automate where possible.
• Coordinate with external auditors and respond to inquiries.
• Support SOX readiness and internal control initiatives.
