Job summary

Conexus is seeking a Director of Technical Accounting in a flexible hybrid Lake Forest, CA role. You will own all technical accounting research, policy development, and SEC reporting while partnering with senior leadership to improve processes and controls.

The ideal candidate has Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting experience, a CPA license, and deep GAAP/SOX knowledge. You will build a high-performing team and oversee complex transactions including revenue, stock-based compensation, leases,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
CPA license is required (active).
Public accounting experience at Big 4 or mid-tier preferred.
Thorough knowledge of GAAP and SOX controls.
Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

Own technical accounting research, memos, and policy development.
Lead end-to-end SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q) with accuracy and timeliness.
Serve as primary technical accounting resource for complex transactions (ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 842, M&A).
Manage external audit relationships and deliverables.
Design and maintain SOX 404 internal controls program.
Partner with Legal, FP&A, HR and executives on new business initiatives.
Prepare and present analyses to CFO and Audit Committee.
Build and mentor a high-performing finance team.
