A technology services provider is seeking a methodical, client-focused Technical Account Manager to proactively assess and improve client IT environments. You’ll work alongside internal IT teams to modernize technology, strengthen security, and align IT decisions with business priorities.
In this AI- and security-focused role, you’ll benchmark client environments against MSP and industry standards, document findings, and help prevent recurring issues. You’ll build trusted client relationships through thoughtful questions, clear communication, and reliable follow-through.
What you’ll do
- Audit client LAN/WAN, servers, endpoints, and security configurations against MSP and industry standards.
- Keep client scorecards current and drive findings toward documented resolution.
- Lead client-facing meetings, complete client checklists, and deliver technical service-day reports while keeping engagements focused on proactive work.
- Identify underlying misalignments that contribute to recurring tickets, and recommend changes to reduce reactive support needs and resolution times.
- Build and maintain client technical libraries, runbooks, and standard operating procedures in IT Glue and SharePoint.
- Identify project opportunities from technical assessments and coordinate recommendations with vCIO and Technology Business Review processes.
- Use Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio to support automation, SOP development, and client-ready summaries of benchmarking results.
- Visit client sites regularly to assess environments, review findings, and support proactive planning.
What you’ll bring
- At least 5 years of hands‑on infrastructure experience in an MSP environment, including LAN/WAN, servers, endpoints, RMM, and security tools.
- Demonstrated experience proactively benchmarking real client infrastructure against defined standards and turning findings into documented, client‑facing recommendations.
- Familiarity with the ConnectWise suite, including PSA, RMM, and CPQ.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and lifecycle benchmarking tools such as myITprocess, Lifecycle Insights, or vCIO Toolbox.
- Strong documentation, organization, and client communication skills.
- Reliable transportation for regular on‑site client visits.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus $50,000 life and AD&D insurance, effective on day one.
- 401(k) with company match after 3 months.
- 80 hours of PTO, 6 paid sick days, 7 paid holidays, and 2 floating holidays.
- Employer-paid long‑term disability, FSA/HSA options, Employee Assistance Program, and $1,500 adoption assistance.
- Profit sharing after 6 months, with payments ranging from 5% to 10% of base salary.
