Job description

Our company exists to promote and protect life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We design, build, and support low size, weight, and power, multimode airborne radar systems.

We are looking for a talented individual to assist in the development and delivery of our Curriculum Development and Training. In addition to skills and experience, we are after someone who is a healthy fit - someone who aligns with our company core values and is a team player. These are our values, and they define how we behave and how you can succeed with our company:

  • All in - We are all in the same boat.
  • Stand up - We stand accountable with integrity.
  • Can-do - We innovate with a can-do attitude.

We are looking for an educator at heart to lead the training of a wide array of customers who use our Synthetic Aperture Radar systems. We are specifically looking for someone with a background in education who is comfortable in front of a class and energized by the prospect of traveling to support our customers. Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Training Delivery: Serve as the primary instructor for our customers. You will lead face-to-face training sessions at our head office, customer locations, and operational sites, ensuring every student masters the material. This includes instructing diverse student bodies and non-English speakers, requiring patient and adaptive delivery.
  • Instructional Excellence: Apply expertise in andragogy to simplify complex technical systems for audiences ranging from radar novices to experienced intelligence analysts. You are granted the professional autonomy to utilize effective teaching techniques that maximize student engagement and ensure learning outcomes are met.
  • Curriculum Development Lifecycle: Participate in the full lifecycle of curriculum maintenance and improvement. Upon completion of training events, you will provide critical feedback and suggestions for improvement. Using your educational background, you will recognize when learning outcomes are not met, identify the root causes, and propose curriculum refinements to improve future outcomes.
  • Needs Analysis: Evaluate the specific mission requirements and skill levels of each customer group. This includes the preparation of your own materials for training events to ensure they are tailored to the customer's unique needs and radar configuration.

These are some of the skills and attributes that are important to us:

Required

  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to understand radar systems, principles, software, and related technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting technical information to groups of people with varying skill levels and backgrounds.
  • An ability to apply effective teaching techniques, maximizing student and participant engagement.
  • An education-focused degree or equivalent professional experience.
Desired
  • A lifelong learner's mindset with a strong desire to master new, complex technologies. Prior experience with radar or ISR operations is not required; we are looking for a dedicated educator who is eager to be the student first, allowing us to provide the technical foundation you need to succeed.
