Job summary

GVI, Inc. in Keyport, Washington seeks a Tech Writer to assess training requirements for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Division Keyport. You will document, revise, and prepare materials for validation and training events, onsite at Keyport.

Responsibilities include handling TM revisions, secure file transfers, Jira tasking, coordination with SMEs, and reporting progress to project teams. A SECRET clearance is required to apply.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Burn physical media (CDs/DVDs), apply security labels and distribution statements, and package for distribution.

• Coordinate with on/offsite SMEs for content input.
• Conduct open-source research on system components.
• Prepare documentation for validation/verification events.
• Report progress changes to project teams to maintain up-to-date statuses.
• Prepare monthly/weekly reports and other reports as needed.
• Attend customer meetings and training briefs onsite as needed.

Responsibilities

Document Support

• Prepare technical manual revisions from existing Technical Manual (TM) source material and from government supplied change documentation.
• Handles file transfers through approved DoW systems. (i.e. DoD SAFE, MBPS, SAILOR, or GovCloud.)
• Burn physical media, (CDs/DVDs verify functionality, applies required security labels and distribution statements, and package for distribution.
• Task assign/track/complete in Jira.
• Coordinate with on/offsite SME’s for content input.
• Conduct open-source research on system components.
• Prepare documentation for validation/verification events.
• Report any changes in progress to project teams to maintain up-to-date statuses.
