Job summary

Greenberg Traurig, LLP seeks an Associate in Technology Transactions & Licensing to join our San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Silicon Valley or Portland offices. You will handle licensing, IP and commercial agreements for startups, growth-stage companies and global enterprises.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and familiarity with data privacy, cloud computing, software and AI matters.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing.
• 4+ years of relevant experience at a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Deep knowledge of intellectual property and commercial contract law, particularly as it relates to software, hardware, and digital assets.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA, GDPR) and open source license frameworks.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on licensing, IP, and commercial transactions in technology sectors.
• Drafting, negotiating, and structuring complex technology and licensing agreements.
• Counseling on data privacy, cyber security, and regulatory considerations for cloud and AI products.
