Role Overview

As a Technical Support Specialist – C4I, you will support Navy LVC training at the Navy Warfare Development Center, Norfolk Naval Station. You will act as the C4I Systems GCCS Engineer, providing operations expertise, performing system operations and maintenance, and interfacing with external agencies for system connectivity and testing of new technologies. The role requires troubleshooting, analysis, and interaction with military, government, and contractor leadership. Flexibility for non-standard hours is necessary.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operate Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J).
2. Provide onsite and remote troubleshooting support for C4I systems.
3. Prepare reports and briefs as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or
• 0 years relevant experience with a Master’s degree, or
• High School Diploma or equivalent with 6 years relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of CTPM, GCCS-M/J.
• COMPTIA Security+ certification.

Skills & Requirements

• Graduate of USN or Joint DoD GCCS school.
• Experience with GCCS Family of Systems and communication interfaces.
• Understanding of GCCS topology, architectures, and related systems like VSphere.
• Technical leadership ability and excellent communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship and active Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JSAF/JBUS, JLVC, and Navy training systems.

Physical Requirements

Office, industrial, or shipboard environment; ability to climb ladders, tolerate confined spaces, and lift materials.
