Overview

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator responsible for installing and maintaining hardware, software, system upgrades, and network accounts. This role also involves ensuring network security, supporting web page design and interface updates, and managing local system documentation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in maintaining, troubleshooting, and implementing network security tools such as firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems, with a focus on safeguarding system integrity and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  1. Install and maintain hardware, software, and system upgrades
  2. Manage network accounts and enforce network security protocols
  3. Support web page design, interface updates, and system documentation
  4. Troubleshoot and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems
  • Cybersecurity Work Force (CSWF) qualified within 9 months
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in systems administration, including support for computer network systems, workstations, file servers, and web servers
  • At least 1 year of technical experience supporting TACNET or other Navy C4I systems (may be concurrent with other experience)
