Job summary

Xpansiv is seeking an IT Support Intern in New York to join the team in a hands-on, learning-focused capacity. You will gain exposure to workplace technology, systems administration, device support, security practices, and professional communication.

The role emphasizes researching questions, collaborating with others, and delivering practical solutions while supporting employees and customers with common tech issues.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an IT/CS program or recently completed in related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Curiosity, willingness to research unfamiliar questions and learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous first-line support to employees and customers for common hardware, software, accounts, or connectivity issues.
• Assist with setup, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and other devices.
• Support Microsoft applications and services within IT team guidance.
• Investigate and troubleshoot issues by gathering information, testing solutions, documenting findings, and escalating when needed.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding, including device prep, account setup, access changes, and equipment collection.
• Record support requests, actions taken, resolutions, and follow-ups in the ticketing system.
• Create/update user guides, troubleshooting notes, and IT documentation.
• Participate in basic IT asset management and security practices under supervision.
• Contribute to IT projects like workstation deployments and system updates.
