Job summary

IBM Software invites motivated undergraduate students to join a 16-week Co-op position focused on technical support. You will gain hands-on experience supporting IBM software solutions while learning from industry experts and contributing to real-world client success.

Eligible candidates must be enrolled at an accredited university, be able to pause coursework, and commit to full-time hours during Spring 2027, with potential full-time opportunities later in 2027–2028 after graduation.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program and returning to complete it.
• Available to start full-time between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for 16 weeks between Jan 19 - May 7.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for customer satisfaction.
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Drive resolution of client product issues by collaborating with global support and engineering teams across IBM Software and Cloud.
• Analyze diagnostics, help optimize product usage and recommend solutions for customers to get the most out of their partnership with IBM.
• Create and update knowledge base articles to share insights.
• Educate clients on product usage and best practices.
• Work with Engineering and Product teams to improve IBM solutions.
• Participate in proactive support activities such as upgrade planning and product adoption.
• Learn how clients use IBM software products as building blocks within larger real-world solutions, including integrations across databases, directories, messaging, and other enterprise technologies.
