Job summary

Crowell & Moring LLP is seeking a Director of Technology Strategy and Portfolio Management to partner with the CIO and advance the Firm’s technology vision, ensuring IT delivers measurable value across initiatives.

You will lead budgeting, governance, vendor management, and cross-functional programs, aligning technology delivery with business priorities and driving strategic execution and innovation across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years in senior technology portfolio management; law firm experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development, execution, and ongoing refinement of the firm’s annual technology strategy, aligning with business priorities.
• Oversee the technology portfolio management process, including intake, prioritization, sequencing, and benefits realization.
• Lead IT governance and continuous improvement of the IT operating model with stakeholdeer collaboration.
• Direct strategic technology programs from planning through delivery with clear ownership and milestones.
• Champion operational excellence in IT service delivery with change management and client communications.
• Develop and deliver executive-level reports and presentations on operational improvements and strategic initiatives.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and reporting practices for technology services.
• Oversee IT budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization; manage vendor contracts and lifecycle processes.
• Coordinate with procurement, vendors, and stakeholders to select solutions and manage relationships.
