Job summary

Gap Inc. is seeking a Strategy & Governance professional within the Global Technology Organization (GTS). You will work with the CIO, Product, and Data Office to drive priorities, define strategy, and shape the GTS roadmap through rigorous analysis and cross‑functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years of consulting and corporate strategy experience in apparel, retail, and digital, with strong analytical skills, executive communication, and the ability to engage SVP-level leaders.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of consulting and corporate strategy experience with apparel, retail, and digital knowledge.
• Experience engaging SVP-level leaders independently.
• Proven problem solver and strategic thinker with ability to identify key issues.
• Able to translate complex ideas into actionable strategic storylines.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze large data sets.
• Strong communications and presentation skills.
• Comfortable working in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology planning through Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Planning (LRP).
• Drive strategic projects across GTS subfunctions: Data, Architecture, Engineering, Security.
• Articulate clear and compelling storylines that drive action; structure and monitor multiple groups.
• Identify and deconstruct business issues and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks.
• Build cross functional partnerships and consensus and support cross functional business partners with analytical insights.
• Conduct market & competitive landscape research to develop synthesized recommendations.
