Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field
• CA Licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
• 5 years recent relevant experience
• Knowledge of QC/QA and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Quality Control (QC) and Proficiency Testing (PT); take corrective action as needed.
• Summarize QC and PT results in reports/graphs for Medical Director review.
• Perform QA duties including records review, instrument maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accreditation readiness and participate in surveys/inspections.
• Develop validation/verification plans for new procedures/equipment and training materials.
• Train and assess competency of co-workers; perform duties of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist as needed.
• Adhere to local/state/federal regulations to ensure patient privacy and safety.
