Job summary

Sutter Health’s MMC-Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, CA seeks a Licensed CLS to perform diverse laboratory procedures, including phlebotomy, specimen processing, and high/low complexity testing. You will ensure accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance across pre-, intra-, and post-analytic steps.

The role requires a California CLS license, a biology degree, and ability to handle evenings and weekend rotation as part of a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology or related field.
• CA Licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS).
• Experience with phlebotomy, specimen processing, quality assurance and testing in CLIA-regulated labs.
• Ability to interact compassionately with diverse patients and handle shifting workloads.

Responsibilities

• Execute pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytic lab procedures to deliver accurate results.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, QA/QC, and testing per CLIA guidance.
• Manage blood inventory (if in Transfusion Service) and blood product issuance.
• Adhere to local/state/federal regulations to ensure patient privacy and safety.
