M.C. Dean, Inc. seeks a Tech Specialist 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit in the Charleston area.

You will design, engineer, integrate, operate and maintain electronic security services for federal, local and commercial customers. You will lead complex projects, mentor teams, coordinate with the engineering group, prepare SOPs, and provide field troubleshooting and commissioning support on access control, video, and perimeter security systems; travel up to 10% is

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience in electronic security installation or testing.
• Associates with 8+ years of experience in security systems.
• Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years experience in relevant field.
• Master's Degree with 3+ years experience.
• System administrator experience: triage, problem resolution, data analysis, and workstation/system extensions.
• Vendor certifications for electronic systems preferred.
• Reliable customer-site attendance and flexibility for nights/weekends.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Analyze standards, processes, and templates; recommend improvements.
• Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors, and system admins.

We are seeking a Tech Specialist 3 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high‑growth markets.

Responsibilities

• Analyze standards, processes, templates - recommend improvements
• Communicate directly with customers, manufacturers, vendors and system administrators
• Train security engineers, technicians, technical specialists on Access Control, Video Management, Perimter Intrusion Detection configuration, troubleshooting, testing.
• Organize and prepare detailed documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Participate in coordination calls with the engineering team and designated project manager to ensure proper communication and delivery.
• Attend coordination calls with contractors/trade groups to coordinate dependencies with regards to security drawings and installation.
• Track revisions, RFIs, submittals, Bill of Materials throughout project lifecycle.
• Lead Design Review sessions with team members and Page Turn review calls with the client.
• Developing and improving design standards.
• Leading complex projects, mentoring and overseeing projects execution through design excellence processes, ensuring high delivery quality
• Leading Pre-Installation Testing & Check Out of security equipment for various projects - coordinating schedule, checklist, and shipment due dates.
• Review Request for Proposals (RFP) documentation, Statement of Work, and Client Specifications provided for new project bids.
  Develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and Forecast Engineering Time for new project bids.
  
• Provide in person site surveys and field troubleshooting/commissioning support.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and/or testing of electronic security systems or
• Associates with 8+ years of experience or
• Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years experience or
• Master's Degree with 3+ years experience
• System administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, and implementing new workstations and system extensions
• Vendor certifications for electronic systems preferred
• Reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional nights and weekends
• Ability to travel up to 10%
