Job summary

Allied Universal in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer to safeguard clients across Technology, Media and Telecom locations. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deter incidents while delivering courteous customer service.

This role requires 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to meet site-specific licensing, background check, and drug-screen requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required under applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report access-control concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Document patrols, observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in required reports and logs.
