Job summary

Nevins Library in Methuen, MA is seeking a part-time Library Assistant in Technical Services to begin in October 2026. The role focuses on cataloging and processing materials for circulation, supporting all departments to keep shelves stocked for the public.

• Ability to follow library policies to provide excellent customer service
• All Nevins Library employees must pass a background check
• Understands and respects people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds
• Ability to communicate in any language besides English is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide technical services for the library, primarily cataloging and processing materials for circulation
• Work closely with all library departments to ensure expeditious flow of new and existing materials to shelves
• Report to the Head of Technical Services
