Qualifications

• Associate degree; strong computer skills are required.
• Ability to provide effective and friendly service to all library users.
• Strong organizational talents essential.
• One to two years of experience in library automation procedures preferred.
• May include lifting up to 50 pounds of items such as books and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Provides courteous, confidential, knowledgeable service to library patrons.
• Acquires print and non-print materials via network procedures; tracks orders.
• Performs entry level administrative work and processing of new materials.
• Handles circulation tasks including registering library cards.
• Assists with automated returns and self-checkouts; shelves items.
• Assists patrons at Circulation Desk and Information Desk and by phone.
• Resolves patron questions with courtesy and tact; provides 1:1 tech help.
