Job summary

Pima County's County Free Library is seeking a Library Page to assist with shelving, materials handling, and basic computer support for patrons.

The role involves greets customers, assists with locating materials, and helps with public access computers and printers. It requires attention to detail, basic technical skills, and a customer‑service orientation, with opportunities to grow within the library system.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience with technology (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace) or integrated library systems (ILS).
• Experience with/knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System is preferred.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sorts, shelves and files library materials accurately according to classification systems.
• Maintains accuracy of materials on shelves and re-shelves misplaced items.
• Packs and unpacks boxes of books and other materials.
• Locates and retrieves materials for staff or patrons.
• Performs routine clerical tasks and provides support with library events.
• Answers telephones and takes messages for staff.
• Provides directional information to customers.
• Assists patrons with computer access and basic software (Word, Excel).
• Operates office equipment and assists in backroom processing as needed.
