First Merchants Bank seeks a 2nd Line Technology Risk & Governance Sr Manager to join our team. This role can be remote within our operational footprint and supports independent oversight, credible challenge, and risk appetite alignment across technology risk.

You will engage with 1st line leaders and control owners to maintain the Second Line Technology Risk Framework, review indicators, and participate in governance forums, ensuring timely escalation of material exposures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technology, business or a related field.
• 7+ years in technology or technology risk; 3+ years in IT Risk & Governance/ERM oversight.
• Experience providing independent challenge and risk oversight.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent 2nd line risk oversight by assessing 1st line technology risk practices and incidents.
• Challenge and escalate risks aligning with risk appetite and standards.
• Review risk identification, inherent/residual ratings, and control design/effectiveness; raise observations.
• Review indicators and trend analysis for technology domains with ORM partnership.
• Participate in governance forums and draft technology risk reports for exec/board.
