Job summary

JPMorganChase in New York seeks a Tech Risk & Controls Lead to oversee IT General and Application Controls, partnering with Product Owners, Business Control Managers, and Regulators to manage risk posture across multiple lines of business. You will guide SOC1/2 attestations, craft risk insights, and drive innovative risk management solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Big Four or top IT consulting firm, with at least 2 years at manager level leading IT Controls attestation audits (SOC/SOX).
• Strong issue management, exceptions analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using enterprise AI capabilities to support risk/workflows with validation habits and data sensitivity awareness.
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted risk summaries before use, ensuring security and auditability.
• Proficient knowledge in data security, risk assessment, reporting, control evaluation and governance.
• Experience influencing executive-level strategic decisions and translating tech insights into business actions.
• Excellent program management and deadline-driven delivery capabilities.
• Comfort interacting with external auditors, senior management and clients.

Responsibilities

• Identify, quantify, communicate, and manage technology risk with root-cause analysis and remediation recommendations.
• Build trusted relationships with LOB technologists, assessment teams, and data officers for cross-functional collaboration.
• Lead with business owners and external auditors on SOC-attestation development and readiness.
• Monitor control effectiveness, identify gaps, and propose enhancements for compliance.
• Drive readiness assessments for platforms, tools, and applications to ensure proper design and operation.
• Oversee remedial work streams and drive timely solutions to control issues impacting programs.
• Use AI capabilities to accelerate evidence synthesis and draft executive-ready reporting.
• Promote AI-assisted, reusable approaches while ensuring human review for auditability.
• Coordinate with x-LOB teams on responses to external auditors and compensating controls for deficiencies.
• Communicate status to stakeholders and deliver consistent reporting and metrics.
• Provide ongoing status updates to senior management and develop educational resources.
