Job summary

City National Bank (CNB) seeks a Lead Technology Resiliency Engineer to design, validate, and improve the availability and recovery of critical banking services. You will map dependencies, translate business objectives into technical recovery plans, and lead tests and validation with IT owners.

You will define recovery objectives, monitor resiliency metrics, and collaborate with Cybersecurity and Operational Resilience teams to ensure robust recovery capabilities and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on infrastructure, cloud, application-platform, database, SRE, or DR engineering experience.
• Experience in recovery design, implementation, and testing.
• Knowledge of banking technology risk, DR, cybersecurity, third-party risk.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with observability and recovery metrics.

Responsibilities

• Map critical services and technology dependencies for resiliency.
• Translate RTOs/RPOs into recovery requirements and sequencing.
• Validate backup restoration, replication, and data integrity.
• Define and validate runbooks, scripts, and recovery automation.
• Coordinate DR and testing with stakeholders and audit requirements.
• Develop resiliency standards and reporting for executive teams.
