Job summary

Nissan is seeking a New Model Tech Quality Validation Engineer Intern for its Field Quality Center in Smyrna, TN, for a 12-week, full-time program. The intern will validate Head Unit, Telematics, and Autonomous Drive systems, perform testing, and document results.

Applicants must be enrolled in ME/EE/CE or related field, be a junior or senior, maintain a 3.0+ GPA, and work onsite in Smyrna. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering field.
• Junior or Senior year at the start of the upcoming term.
• Interest in vehicle technologies including Head Unit, Telematics, Connected Services, Autonomous Drive tech.
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles for testing activities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate vehicle systems, software updates, and new technologies (Head Unit, Telematics, Autonomous Drive).
• Conduct vehicle testing and drive evaluations for performance and customer experience.
• Document concerns, investigation results, and recommendations in technical reports.
• Analyze customer feedback, warranty data, and verbatim comments to identify trends.
• Present findings and validation results to cross-functional teams.
