Nissan USA is seeking a Product Safety Engineering Intern to join our Franklin, TN and Smyrna, TN teams. The 12-week, full-time internship provides hands-on experience in vehicle safety evaluations, data analytics, and cross-functional collaboration.

You must be enrolled in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or Biomechanical Engineering and be a junior or senior; a GPA of 3.0+ is preferred. Onsite work at Franklin/Smyrna; sponsorship not available.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, or Biomechanical Engineering or related field.
• Junior or Senior status at the start of the upcoming term.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle design and safety systems (airbags, seat belts, ESC, ADAS, etc.).
• Aptitude for investigations, data interpretation, and report writing.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; GPA 3.0+ required.

Aufgaben

• Assist with vehicle and component-level field investigations related to product safety concerns.
• Support crash analyses and technical evaluations of vehicle performance.
• Prepare technical reports communicating investigation findings.
• Support child safety seat fitment evaluations and safety outreach initiatives.
• Participate in STEM outreach focused on traffic safety.
