Job summary

American Airlines is seeking an Associate Product Manager to help transform our Next-Gen Operations Platform within the Integrated Operations Center. You’ll define business capabilities, shape future-state processes, and translate operational needs into deliverables in close partnership with product and technology teams.

You will lead requirements scoping, drive multi-phase transformation, and align stakeholders across a complex program while focusing on measurable value for flight operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 years of product management experience.
• Preferred Master’s degree with 2+ years of work experience.
• Experience determining product-market fit and GTM strategies; familiarity with Agile.

Responsibilities

• Lead product discovery, market research, and competitive analysis to inform direction.
• Synthesize objectives into concrete problems with measurable metrics.
• Create an initiative source of truth document with milestones and stakeholders.
• Communicate updates through slides, process maps, and documentation.
• Facilitate collaboration between product and non-product teams; align stakeholders.
• Partner with Technology Procurement on RFIs and RFPs.
• Identify investment areas based on research and business goals.
• Track impact of strategic initiatives to support product teams.
• Proactively find opportunities to improve and reduce ambiguity.
• Influence strategic direction of product journeys and customer experiences.
