Job summary

Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the pharmacy operations under supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role involves preparing and distributing medications, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with procedures.

The candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent and a Nevada Pharmacy Technician license or national certification. One year of experience is preferred, with automation systems experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year experience preferred.
• Current license as Pharmacy Technician in State of Nevada, Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the National Healthcareer Association as a pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

One (1) year experience preferred.

Technical Skills:

Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.).

License/Certification:

Current license as Pharmacy Technician in State of Nevada, Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or the National Healthcareer Association as a pharmacy technician.
